The Brain Phantom reel series has been designed for float fishing. All reel sizes feature a front drag system. To support smooth spool rotation under load, the spool is mounted on a ball bearing.
The metal spools have been specially designed with float fishing in mind. The aluminium handle screws directly into the body, minimising the chance of play developing even after long and intensive use. An ergonomic, shaped EVA foam knob increases comfort while fishing.
The reel is fitted with a total of 9 sealed ball bearings plus 1 anti-reverse bearing. The 1000 size has a 5.2:1 gear ratio, while all other sizes are fast models with a 6.2:1 gear ratio.
