SKIF Griffin II BSW – Refined EDC Classic
The SKIF Griffin II is the next generation of one of the most popular models from the 400 series. The concept remains unchanged — a reliable EDC knife that performs equally well in everyday use and outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, and travel.
The blade is made from upgraded 9Cr18MoV stainless steel, with higher carbon and chromium content compared to its predecessor (8Cr13MoV). This provides improved hardness, better edge retention, and enhanced corrosion resistance.
The blade features flat grinds along approximately one-third of the spine, combined with a Drop Point profile and subtle S-shaped cutting edge. This design increases cutting efficiency while maintaining strong piercing capability. The Black Stonewash (BSW) finish helps conceal scratches and wear, making the knife ideal for regular use.
The knife opens via flipper and thumb stud, with a ball-bearing pivot system ensuring smooth and effortless deployment. The flipper also acts as a finger guard for added control during more demanding tasks.
The knife is equipped with a dependable Frame Lock, one of the most reliable locking systems in folding knives. The new generation features additional jimping on the spine, handle, flipper, and lock bar, improving grip and handling.
The handle is made from G-10, providing a secure grip even in wet conditions or when wearing gloves. A removable pocket clip and lanyard hole offer flexible carry options.
Overall, the Griffin II delivers a modern refinement of a proven and highly practical design.
