SKIF Sturdy II SW – Classic All-Round EDC Knife
The SKIF Sturdy II is the next generation of a popular model from the 400 series. This knife represents a true classic — a versatile tool suitable for everyday tasks as well as outdoor activities such as camping and travel.
The name “Sturdy” reflects its solid construction and practical design. The blade is made from upgraded 9Cr18MoV stainless steel, with higher carbon and chromium content compared to the previous 8Cr13MoV version. This results in improved hardness and better corrosion resistance.
The blade features flat grinds running close to the midline of the spine, providing a balanced combination of strength and cutting efficiency. The Drop Point blade shape ensures excellent performance for both slicing and piercing tasks. The Stonewash finish (SW) helps reduce visible scratches and wear during regular use.
The knife opens using both a thumb stud and a flipper, with a ball-bearing pivot system ensuring smooth and fast deployment. The flipper also acts as a finger guard, offering additional control when applying more force.
The knife is equipped with a reliable Frame Lock, one of the most widely used and trusted locking mechanisms in folding knives.
The handle is made from G-10, providing a secure grip even in wet conditions or when wearing gloves. A pocket clip and lanyard hole offer practical carry options.
Overall, the Sturdy II is a well-balanced and dependable knife designed for everyday reliability.
